Income inequality

Excellent piece from Brookings on earning  inequality:" The spectacular economic rise of the top 1 percent is now common knowledge, thanks in large part to the work of  Thomas Piketty and his collaborators . The top 1 percent of U.S. residents now earn 21 percent of total national income, up from 10 percent in 1979." One should also see Robert Reich's talk in 2013 on inequality. And read New York Times review of his book, Saving Capitalism. David Brooks says that "the choice explosion has contributed to widening inequality."

Leadership...and ethics

Warren Buffett Just Summed Up the Essence of Leadership In 2 Sentences: "If you're looking for a manager, find somebody that's intelligent, energetic and has integrity...if they don't have the last, be sure they don't have the first two. If you have somebody who lacks integrity, you want them to be dumb and lazy." Trouble is, people who lack integrity are anything but dumb and lazy when it comes to their self-interest. And this seems like an inte resting read on the subject.
